BRANCH OF
Logistics
The Tree of Life Foundation International, Inc. is in partnership with various organizations and foundations with access to ground, sea and air transportation who through combined efforts and resources deliver food, medical supplies, clothing, school supplies and a variety of donations throughout the globe.
Logistics are essential to facilitate and connect goods, supplies and volunteers with those in need. In a disaster relief, logistics is often the biggest hurdle with as much as eight percent of disaster relief expenditures going towards transporting, storing and distributing to the affected communities.
In 2008, TOLFI had the mission “Haiti Heard from the Heart” to provide services that meet the needs of the Haitians through fundraising and networking efforts. American Airlines provided to Tree of Life Foundational International an airbus an A300 aircraft and 30 employees including William Dise, Nancy Hummel, and Nancy Rivard, Founder of Airline Ambassadors International, to deliver to Haiti food, medical supplies, computers, baby products, clothing, toys, personal hygiene items, and various other much needed resources to help those in need.
In 2009 the Holland America Line donated a cruise ship to Tree of Life Foundation International, Inc. for a luncheon to help fundraise for those suffering in Haiti through “Haiti Heard from the Heart”. The cruise line, along their cruise route, transported supplies in their cargo to Haiti from the USA.
