Vamos Falar Portugues

We are a non-governmental, non-partisan and non-profit institution that was created with the mission of propagating the Portuguese language and promoting the maintenance of Brazilian cultural heritage, among the children and adolescents of the Brazilian community, residing here in the United States.

Our projects are mainly aimed at children and adolescents of Brazilian origin, but they are also extended to the other communities with which we interact, who have always shown great interest in our language and culture.To provide the Brazilian community, especially the “child” community, with a space for activities that, prioritizing the use of the Portuguese language, awakens interest in the knowledge of Brazilian culture, as an instrument for new achievements;

Stimulate fluent oral expression in Portuguese in children’s daily lives, reducing the risk of long distance and the systematic use of another language leading to the forgetting of our language of origin

To induce children and adolescents in the Brazilian community to learn literacy and master the use of written language.
