BRANCH OF

Volunteers

The Tree of Life Foundation International, Inc. believes in the power of the people and the benefits of unity in a community. Volunteering is a great way to regain and rebuild community, it allows you to connect to others and offers vital help to worthwhile causes and to people in need. Volunteering is also a great opportunity to teach and mentor others teaching them to invest in their communities, the environment, and their future.

At our Tree of Life Resource Center we have many volunteers that come from organizations, businesses, schools, universities, churches, retirement homes, and clinics. We have had over 2,375 volunteer hours served in our communities. Where individuals come in and offer there time and hands to help move our resources and get them to families in need. Volunteers help prepare the donations by making food boxes and bags, as well as stocking inventory of supplies and clothing.

We have had from 2021-2024 over 302 nursing students who have and our continuing to serve at our Tree of Life Resource Center from Palm Beach Atlantic University, the school of nursing and pharmacy. They have served over 970 beneficiaries through medical services. The nursing students, underneath supervision of professors come in twice a week for appointments to help with medical problems such as wound care and first-aid. As well as graduate nursing students offer their services and volunteer for their internship requirement by caring for our beneficiaries. The intern students are on a regular schedule, readily available for those in need and are essential for developing input for beneficiaries. Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, University of Miami, volunteers free screenings for cancer for our beneficiaries.

The Tree of Life Resource Center hosted a monthly food drive with the help of Farm Share, Palm Beach Outlets, and Schumacher Automotive Group sponsoring for 2 1/2 years starting May 2020 to September 2022.Volunteer Groups that assisted with the monthly food drives were Palm Beach Atlantic University, Oasis Project, Schumacher Auto.
